POLICE have seized a significant amount of illegal tobacco from a shop in a Herefordshire town.
Working alongside Herefordshire Trading Standards, police seized the tobacco from a shop in Leominster town centre today (Wednesday).
PC Adam Stobbart said: "After some good investigative work by Herefordshire Trading Standards and concerns being raised by local residents to Leominster Safer Neighbourhood Team over the last few months we would like to inform you that today, a joint operation at a store took place in Leominster town centre.

"After a detailed search of the premise was made, a significant seizure of illegal tobacco products were found.
"Trading standards are continuing with the investigation but we would like to thank the community for their assistance in this issue."
