A COLLEGE in Hereford is “excited” to see a brand-new building taking shape on campus as foundation works are completed.
Hereford Sixth Form College was awarded funding for the development at Folly Lane that will house new classrooms, a larger dance studio, and fitness centre with changing rooms.
Hereford building company William Powell and Sons has been contracted to take on the work.
In a tweet, the company wrote: “Foundations complete for the new sports block at Hereford Sixth Form College.

“Not long now until we commence the steel frame works.”
June 27, 20The building is replacing a row of old huts.
Hereford’s is one of 39 sixth forms and colleges to receive a share of the Government’s Post-16 Capacity Fund.
The £2.7 million of funding will help accommodate the college’s growth.
A spokesperson from the sixth form said: “Very exciting to see the new building starting to take shape."
