POLICE have arrested a woman on suspicion of attempted murder in Hereford.
West Mercia Police says the victim was left with life-threatening injuries during an incident in Newton Farm on Sunday evening.
Officers were called shortly after 8pm to reports of a serious assault in Rothesay Mead, a spokesperson said.

The victim, a 59-year-old man, has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where he remains in a critical condition.
A 55-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody, the spokesperson said.

Detective Inspector Liz Warner said: “I understand that incidents of this nature can be alarming, but would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat or risk to the wider community.
“Officers will remain on scene in Rothesay Mead overnight and into tomorrow (Monday) while our investigation continues.”
