A HEREFORD cinema has spoken out about the TikTok trend based around the new Minions movies that has been causing problems for cinemas all over the country.
The meme involves teenagers watching the new film Minions: The Rise of Gru dressed in suits and recording themselves on social media.
The behaviour that accompanies the trend, cheering, shouting, and mimicking the Minion characters, has caused issues for other filmgoers.
It has lead to the Odeon in the Old Market Shopping Centre having to issue refunds.

Jake Childs, cinema experience manager for the Odeon cinema in Hereford said: "We have had a few instances of teenagers coming in dressed in suits and disturbing our other customers who just want to sit and enjoy the film in comfort."
"We pride ourselves in providing a great cinema experience for everyone and are doing everything in our power to make sure this is maintained.”
Mr Childs added: "We have had to refund a couple of customers, but some cinemas have lost thousands of pounds because of it, and even had to resort to bans. Luckily, we are not in that position."
One independent cinema in Wadebridge, Cornwall, has banned any unaccompanied children who are wearing suits from watching the film.
In a statement posted on Twitter, The Regal Cinema wrote: "We are currently not admitting unaccompanied children wearing suits for Minions: The Rise of Gru.
"This is due to the issues we have encountered over the last two days, and it is associated behaviour."
