LORRIES will be banned from using a busy Hereford road for two nights as roadworks are carried out, Herefordshire Council has said.
In a public notice, the council said lorries would not be allowed to use the B4399 from the Rotherwas Access Road to Rotherwood, towards Holme Lacy during the works.
The ban will be in force on Tuesday, August 9 between 7pm and 10pm and Thursday, August 11 between 7pm and midnight during the utility work.
"The said restriction is required due to insufficient road width for HGVs during a crossing for ultity connectin works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place," the public notice said.
The ban will be in place from the roundabout to 40 metres west of the Coldnose Road junction, and there is no alternative route.
A weight-limit comes into force after Rotherwas on the B4399 Holme Lacy Road.
