A NEW fish and chip shop with a difference is opening in Hereford, taking over an old fancy dress shop.
Taverna Fish Bar and Deli, in Bridge Street, is the new permanent home for The Little Cypriot, an independent catering service run by Patricia Tzirki.
For the past five years, she has been running a mobile food business, concentrating on corporate bookings and mobile pop-ups at various venues in Hereford, including De Koffie Pot, next to the Old Bridge and The Stagecoach, in West Street.

In partnership with her son George Masters, she is now opening the shop in Bridge Street that combines Greek and Mediterranean cuisine with the traditional British staple.
They have transformed the shop into an open-plan takeaway and deli, where customers can see their meals being prepared.
“We hope this will add to the overall experience of the customers’ visit,” said Mr Masters.
The opening yesterday (Wednesday, July 13) comes after several months converting the shop after they took it over earlier in the year.
Mr Masters said: "It's been a lot of hard work, but now we're ready, we can't wait to get going."
