A HEREFORDSHIRE primary school offered reception children a sneak preview of new nursery facilities at their official opening, after three years of planning.
St Mary's CE Primary School opened its new nursery and gave its children and staff a first look around at the event on Tuesday July 12.
Chair of Governors for the school, Rev Mark Johnson, opened the event and said a prayer of blessing, before headteacher Bernadette Davies and nursery manager Shelly Gummery, officially opened the building.
The event was also attended by vice chair of the governing body Richard Wydenbach, sufficiency, planning and capital investment manager at Herefordshire Council Karen Knight, and Colin Birks from Education Property partnership.

A spokesperson for the school said: "The children thoroughly enjoyed being the first people to view the new nursery.
"At the end of the day nursery parents and St Mary’s families were welcomed by Mrs Davies and Mrs Gummery to view the facilities.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has contributed and supported this project.
"We look forward to the grand opening in September and welcoming the children & Staff from Credenhill Nursery to the St Mary’s family."
