POLICE closed a road in Hereford today (Saturday) when a cow and calf strayed from their field.
The A4399 link at Rotherwas was shut for a short time at around 8.30am while police helped return the animals to safety.
In a social media post after tackling the strays, Hereford Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "Cow and calf are grazing away in local field."
