A man has died following a medical emergency in a Herefordshire town centre.
Multiple emergency service vehicles were seen around the junction of The Homend and Bank Crescent in Ledbury just after 10am today (Monday, July 18).
Eyewitnesses say they also saw the air ambulance land at the Recreation Ground this morning, with emergency services at the incident outside the St Michael's Hospice shop.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9:42am to reports of a medical emergency at The Homend.
"We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham and a Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) trauma doctor.
"Crews administered advanced life support but sadly, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased on scene."
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "At around 9.50am we received reports of a medical emergency outside St Michael's Hospice on The Homend, Ledbury.
"West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene."
