THIEVES smashed their motorbike into a petrol station in a village near the Herefordshire border during an early morning raid.
Cigarettes, vapes and cash were stolen from the Esso petrol station in Worcester Road, Great Witley, in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
A member of staff was working at the petrol station, around four miles from the border outside Upper Sapey, near Bromyard, while the raid took place but was unhurt.
Two men wearing dark clothing are believed to have ridden a motorcycle into the glass door of the shop to gain entry.
While inside, they stole the goods before making off.
West Mercia Police is appealing for more information, with a spokesperson saying: "At about 1am today, Wednesday, July 27, we received a report of a burglary at the petrol filling station in Worcester Road, Great Whitley where cigarettes, vapes and cash were stolen.
"The offenders, two males wearing dark clothing, are believed to have ridden a motorbike into the glass door to gain entry and then made off.
"One member of staff was present at the time but was not injured."
Anyone with information is asked to report it to the police, quoting incident 20 of July 27.
The glass front door to the petrol station shop could be seen smashed later on Wednesday, with tape all around the forecourt.
Police remained at the scene throughout the morning, with the cordon remaining in place into the afternoon.
