I HAVE just returned to Hereford after being absent for a good number of years when I was then in the Royal Air Force at Credenhill and married to a Hereford girl.
I have now returned to live here again for good after my wife died.
I was appalled when I went to the town centre last week – rubbish all over, plenty of bins but not used.

Empty shops that look terrible and unkempt.
What has happened, why is this lovely city so run down?
Everybody was proud of the city when I was last here.

It was all nice and tidy, shops all clean and thriving.
Where have we gone wrong? Can we ever get back to previous times?
