A CARNIVAL has been given the go ahead to take place in a Hereford park next week.
Hereford River Carnival will make a return on Wednesday, August 10, in the north part of the park at Yazor Brook, off Bakers Lane, in Hereford.
The plans on the Herefordshire Council website show the carnival will be holding a family circus show and community workshop event throughout the day.
The park sits off the A4110 Three Elms Road, which links to Whitecross and Roman Road west of the city.
The council is the owner of the land and is therefore the only party who needs to give permission.

The event will host Clementine Live Arts performance and circus skills workshop.
The carnivals event page said it is a pirate-themed circus theatre adventure for all the family.
Attractions will include circus skills, physical theatre, stage magic, poetry, puppetry, and original music played on a harp.
The performance will be held from 11.30am to 12.30pm, before a lunch break between 12.30pm and 1pm when people are asked to bring their own picnic or grab a snack at the Life and Soul Kitchen in Three Elms trading estate.
