WHAT'S this? A narrowboat cruising along Hereford's Broad Street!
Don't be alarmed, the city centre hasn't been overwhelmed by a biblical flood. The eye-catching picture was created with some digital trickery by Stuart Jancey, a member of the Hereford Times Camera Club.
It shows a narrowboat and its two occupants chugging sedately past the grand facade of the landmark Green Dragon Hotel.
Water laps against the hotel wall, where reeds are apparently thriving in the watery habitat.
Fellow members of the camera club certainly saw the lighter side of Stuart's picture, which he has titled 'Artistic licence'.
One joked: "Maybe the council will re-dig the old canal instead of the bypass!"
Another quipped: "As Morecambe and Wise said, You can't see the join!"
"Please do a gondola next time," one member suggested.
But it captured the imagination of another, who said wistfully: "How beautiful it would be!"
