REELING from the shock of several brutal attacks on women in the county in the last month leading to both death and serious injury, now we see two potential rapes being investigated in a week.
Violence against women and girls is sadly everywhere; the countryside is not immune.
Isolated rural communities can make things so much harder for women and girls experiencing domestic abuse too.
Hard to get away, hard to be heard, hard to get support.
In North Herefordshire Labour Party we have been investigating local resources and action, culminating now in our joint meeting co-sponsored with Hereford and South Herefordshire Labour Party on Wednesday, September 28, at Hereford FC Suite.

This is an open public forum, cross party and involving key responsible agencies.
We think it is time for solid common effort to tackle this violence on the streets and behind closed doors.
We must create safety for women and girls with a changed community culture that both prevents and acts on these crimes. We hope many Herefordians will join us.
