THE Met Office has issued an amber warning for extreme heat from today.
Temperatures are set to hit highs of 33C over the next four days, with lows of 17C overnight.
Today (Augsut 11) it is expected to stay dry throughout the day with blue skies and plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures will rise rapidly making it feel hot by the afternoon, with winds mostly light. The maximum temperature will be 33C.
Tonight it will remain dry with clear skies.
After a hot day, temperatures only very slowly getting lower, and will mostly remain in the mid to high teens leading to an uncomfortable night for many.
The minimum temperature will be 15C.
On Friday (August 12) after the warm start, temperatures will rise steadily throughout the morning under sunny skies.
It will feel hot in the afternoon sunshine, with light winds and a maximum temperature of 34C.
On Saturday (August 13) it will be dry and sunny, and turning very hot.
It will be a little cloudier on Sunday (August 14), but still hot, then cloudier still on Monday (August 15) with a risk of showers and still feeling very warm.
Herefordshire Council has advised people to be sensible in the heat to avoid wildfires.
A spokesperson said people are asked to not have campfires, only BBQ in designated areas, ensure cigarettes are out and take litter home.
