TWO thieves have been jailed after stealing alcohol to order from supermarkets in Herefordshire and beyond.
David Firatoiu and Nicolae-Valentin Pintilie entered guilty pleas when they appeared before magistrates in Norwich.
The court heard 34-year-old Firatoiu and 33-year-old Pintilie had stolen alcohol worth £550 from Sainsbury's in Ross-on-Wye on June 16.
They had also stolen alcohol worth £250 from Tesco in Ellesmere, and alcohol worth £393 from Tesco in Whitchurch, both in Shropshire, on May 19, and attempted to steal alcohol worth £500 from Tesco in Ellesmere on June 7.
They had further stolen alcohol worth £501 from Tesco in Stalham, Norfolk on June 28 and alcohol worth more than £1,000 from the same supermarket on July 29.

Magistrates said the offences were serious because of the high value of the stolen goods and because they had stolen them to order from various locations.
Firatoiu, of Forest Lane, London, was jailed for 42 weeks and must pay a £156 victim surcharge.
Pintilie, of Heron Mews, Ilford, was jailed for 52 weeks and must pay a £156 victim surcharge.
