AN EX Herefordshire resident is looking to track down team mates from a local football team that he helped to set up 50 years ago.
Geoffrey Wells, who now lives in Church Stretton, is looking to reunite players and staff from Leominster based team Newlands Rangers Boys FC.
The club was formed with his help in 1972, and played matches in Newlands Road in the town.
Mr Wells, who moved to Leominster in 1971 and worked as a Police sergeant in the town formed the club with the help of committee members and has fond memories of the team competing in a local league.
He said: "We cleared a rough field at the end of Newlands Road, (which is now built on) and entered the Clee Hill League, playing against teams in north Herefordshire and south Shropshire.
"We were lucky in having plenty of lads to choose from and the team was very successful as can be seen with the array of trophies in the front row."
Mr Wells happened upon the picture when looking through old photographs.
He said: "These lads will all be in their 60's now and are probably grandparents.
"It would be great to see how everyone from the team is getting on 50 years down the line."
