PICTURES taken by firefighters show the aftermath of a head-on crash which has closed a road near Hereford this morning (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to the B4399 in Holme Lacy, a busy road into the Rotherwas area of Hereford, to reports of the two-car crash.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said one crew from Fownhope fire station was sent to the scene after the call came in at 6.49am.

The crash was between two cars, both of which were on all four wheels, a spokesperson said.
There were two male casualties, one walking wounded, one handed to the care of the ambulance service.
Fownhope fire station said thankfully both men were OK, "just very shaken up".

It said: "After our hot spell and now rain the road are very slippery. Please take care.
West Mercia Police also attended and the road was closed. The incident was left with police as the fire service stood down at 7.36am.
Police have been warning drivers to avoid the area, with officers warning of major disruption.
