A FORD Transit driver has been banned from the roads for three years for drink driving.
Hereford Magistrates Court heard how Alan Brown, 32, was pulled over by police on the A40 in Ross-on-Wye while driving his white 2004 van.
An evidential breath test revealed he had 41 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, above the legal limit of 35, prosecution solicitor Mark Hambling said.

He said it was Brown’s second offence in the last 10 years.
Marilena Divitantonio, defending, said Brown had been cooperative with police after he was pulled over while driving a Ford Transit van on July 30.
He had been to see some friends and had drunk alcohol, but thought there would be no issue as he had left some time between drinking and driving.

Ms Divitantonio said a ban would have an affect on Brown, who pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving and is employed as a groundworker, seeing his children.
Magistrates banned Brown, of Lea, near Ross-on-Wye, from driving for three years as they said drink driving was a “very serious” offence.
He was also fined £533 and told to pay £135 costs and a £213 victim surcharge.
