PROPOSALS have been put forward for ways to stop traffic noise and disruption on a main road through a Herefordshire town.
Concerns had been raised earlier this year by members of the public relating to issues on the A44 Mill Street in Leominster, near to the junction with Porters Mill Close.
Residents said there are aren't enough road speed signs on the A44 advising traffic of the speed limit and many vehicles do not adhere to it.
Other concerns raised related to noise and vibrations caused by lack of maintenance of the road.

It was found that many of the issues regarding noise and vibration are due to the road surface rather than speeding and that the issues could be resolved if the road was resurfaced and through the positioning of a speed indicator device (SID).
Leominster Town Council has discussed the possible purchase or rental of a SID to allay the concerns of people in Mill Street and nearby Bridge Street at its latest traffic management meeting on August 1.
