MEET the Herefordshire garage owner that called out supermarkets for being “greedy”.
Sharon Collin owns Saffron’s Cross Garage, on the A417 in Bodenham, with her husband Jason and she has made sure to keep her fuel prices as a reasonable level.
According to the RAC, average petrol prices in the UK are 172.3p and 183.32 for diesel.
This means Saffron’s Garage is selling petrol 12p cheaper than average and 15p cheaper.

The forecourt, shop, garage and workshops have been modernised, and along with a good team of staff we have seen the businesses grow substantially.
The pair have a very good knowledge and understanding of the area after living here for several years and can pass this expertise onto developing their businesses and looking after their customer requirements.
Prior to buying the business Mr Collin used to drive and maintain HGVs whilst Mrs Collin was a management accountant and has always been involved in road haulage.

Ms Collin now works 80 hours a week at the garage and wants to make a profit but will remain honest.
“It’s not about being greedy it should be about being realistic and sensible,” she said.
The garage has been busy as people have picked up on its cheap prices, with some passing by and driving back to fill up, she said.
She hopes people will continue to support independents during the cost-of-living crisis, especially as most are keeping their prices fair.
“It’s about honest and treating people properly,” she said.
Saffrons Cross Garage is also looking for staff. It was due to open a post office but can’t until the places are filled.
“We would love people to apply,” said Ms Collin.
