A HEREFORD teen who started his music career to make his grandfather proud is now the front man and songwriter of a band.
Former Hereford Cathedral School student Jude Gummerson, 18, has played music with his father Steve, 50, since he was a young age and has now moved on to creating his own music.
“He’s got his own material, but we’re timing that right,” said Steve, who has been a BBC introducing artist and played on radio stations all over the UK.
Now his band Nova Park will be releasing their debut single on September 2.

“It’s an absolute belter and is generating a lot of interest,” said Steve.
Steve’s father, who died at the age of 55, was also a passionate musician and an inspiration for the pair.
Jude wants to follow his grandad’s dreams.
“He really wants to push his career in honour of his grandad,” Steve said.
