A NEW Herefordshire shop is trying to do its bit to help the community that it says has welcomed them with open arms.
Gift shop Motif, which opened in Drapers Lane in Leominster last month is to donate one percent of all its turnover to Leominster Food Bank, to help out locals with the rising cost of living.
The new independent shop, owned by Sally and Simon Powell, made its first payment this week and will continue to for the foreseeable future.
A statement on the shop's Facebook page said: "We have been open a month and it has been a joy.

"Everyone who has visited has been friendly and supportive. We feel very much part of the Leominster community already.
"As positive as things have been for us we know that with rising food, fuel and utility costs there are many in our community that are struggling.
Motif hopes that its contribution can help people struggling to give back to the community that has welcomed them.
It said: "This isn't a lot of money but we will pay it for the foreseeable future as it will go to help some individuals and families who really need some help and hopefully it will make some small difference."
