FIREFIGHTERS were called after a "controlled fire" got out of hand near a Hereford village.
A spokesperson for Leominster fire station said the station's water carrier was called to a fire in the open in the Westhope area of Herefordshire at 6.31pm last night (September 2).
"With conditions still so dry, ‘controlled burns’ in the open like this don’t take long to get out of control and it isn’t advised," the spokesperson said.
