A HEREFORDSHIRE mum was shocked to see the length of skirts in a Hereford shop window.
New Look in High Town is selling school uniform again as children get back to their studies after a long summer holiday.
But Sandra Brown, of Ross-on-Wye, is concerned about its window display.
She was with her 15-year-old daughter at the time of seeing the window's photo of a young girl advertising white shirts and black skirts.
“Shocked, as I was with my 15-year-old, to see this ‘well above the knee’ too-short-to-wear-as-school-uniform skirt advertised as school uniform for nine to 15-year-olds in the front window in New Look in Hereford.”

Aylestone School, just two miles away, is one of the closest schools to New Look.
On its website it said black skirts must be non-Lycra or other stretchy material, tailored and knee-length to satisfy school uniform requirements.
Hereford Academy is also about two miles from the centre of Hereford.
It says on its website that students must wear “black tailored trousers with hem width not less than seven inches or skirt with school badge (20-inch drop).”
