PEOPLE in a Herefordshire village are angry after a beautiful viewpoint was targeted by arsonists.
Dormington and Mordiford Parish Council said the beautiful guardian ash tree at Swarden Quarry was set on fire, and emergency services were called.
A spokesperson for the parish council said it happened on Tuesday evening.

As well as the tree being "deliberately destroyed", a spokesperson also hit out at fences being broken and the litter bin being damaged beyond repair.
"The fire brigade had to be called, and precious water wasted in putting out a fire destroyed by arson," they said.
"We hope that the criminals are caught, but are sorry for the residents and visitors that will be affected by this.
