TRAFFIC is backing up in a Herefordshire village as Cadent continue works after gas was cut off earlier this week.
Several hundred homes are without gas in Hampton Bishop, Holme Lacy, Priors Frome, Mordiford and Fownhope.
Cadent said they had brought in extra engineers in from across their network to get the gas supply restored.
In Mordiford there is currently a three-way traffic light system which is causing cars to tail back up the hill, past the Holme Lacey bridge towards Fownhope.

Tractors and vans are amongst the traffic in the tight roads of the village of Mordiford.
Engineers are digging into the ground to access the gas pipes on the corner of the junction next to Mordiford Primary School.
Cadent said it is still unsure when the works will be completed, but every home’s gas will need to be checked.
