A CHINOOK was spotted flying above Hereford this afternoon.
Video and photos reveal the distinctive aircraft was flying low over Rotherwas Industrial Estate and other areas today (September 6) at around 3.30pm.
Most people will have heard Chinooks flying with their 'wokka wokka' soundtrack, earning an affectionate nickname after the sound of the craft's rotas.
The Royal Air Force describes the Chinook as an extremely capable and highly versatile support helicopter which can be operated from land bases or ships into a diverse range of environments, from the Arctic to the desert or jungle.
It was hard to miss as echoed over Rotherwas and workers below watched it go into the distance towards Holme Lacey.
