TRAFFIC lights that have been causing tailbacks in Herefordshire have finally been removed.
A three-way system was put in place in Mordiford while Cadent worked to sort a local gas network issue that caused hundreds of homes to be cut off in Mordiford, Hampton Bishop, Holme Lacy, and Priors Frome last Tuesday (September 6).
A sign was put in place that said delays were expected for a week, but tailbacks quickly formed during rush hours.
Queues were backing up past Holme Lacy Bridge towards Fownhope and on the other side of the lights towards Hereford.

Cadent released a statement on Saturday (September 10) that said all homes in all villages would have their gas back on that weekend.
But the traffic lights remained in place a few days after this as works were completed in Mordiford.
Now the lights have been removed and traffic is back to normal.
