IN reply to Nasty fall at 'unmarked hazard' at Hereford landmark (September 4), I believe I know the concrete edging mentioned at Hereford Cathedral where Christopher Morley fell.
I’ve had near misses there myself and when walking with others I point out the area.
Hereford has many dangerous trip hazards.

Widemarsh Street pavement has not yet been changed. Concrete slabs are constantly uneven.
No wonder everyone wears trainers. Not a city for smart footwear.
