MY wife and I used to love Hereford and I even applied for a job at the racecourse with the thought of one day moving here.
In order to familiarise ourselves with the town and surrounding area, on racedays we would stop over, maybe for a couple of days.
OTHER LETTERS:
- 'Once thriving market town' Hereford has nothing to attract visitors
- Herefordshire river group 'dismay' at Sir Bill's stance on Wye's decline
- Student fears Hereford 'no longer safe' after spate of attacks
It is no longer an attractive option, especially with the silly prices that hotels are charging and the apparent inability of the council to retain quality businesses and attractions.
Sadly, this will probably be my last season at Hereford Racecourse. I shall shed a tear or two.
