TWO Herefordshire men have been handed absolute discharges after they were forced to speed on a motorway.
Anthony Nigel Mayell, 67, and Edward Anthony Mayell, 21, entered guilty pleas when they appeared before magistrates in Worcester after previously pleading not guilty.
The court heard Anthony Mayell had been driving a Subaru and Edward Mayell, 21, had been behind the wheel of a Citroen when the incident took place on the M5 in Worcestershire on October 20, 2021.

Both men, who are both of Brockhampton, Herefordshire, had exceeded the 50 miles per hour variable speed limit on the motorway, the court was told.
But the court accepted their special reasons, hearing that signage on the road did not clearly indicate that the lane was closing at that point and that the defendants had no option but to speed up to move into another lane in order to avoid cones.
