AN ATTACKER who assaulted a police inspector in Hereford has been sent to the crown court for sentencing.
Aiden Jeffory McGraw entered guilty pleas when he appeared before magistrates in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The court heard the 29-year-old had assaulted a police constable acting in the course of his duties by beating and had been drunk and disorderly in Monkland, Herefordshire, on March 6.
He had also assaulted a police inspector acting in the course of his duties by beating in Hereford on March 7.

The court heard McGraw had been subject to a suspended sentence order imposed by the crown court in Stoke-on-Trent on September 14, 2021, for dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen at the time of the offence.
The case was sent to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court for sentencing, where McGraw will appear at a later date.
McGraw, of Rochester Road, Stoke-on-Trent, was given conditional bail requiring him to report to Longton police station twice a week.
