A BROKEN down lorry has left some homes on the Herefordshire border with full bins that will not be emptied until later this week.
Hay-on-Wye ward councillor Gareth Ratcliffe, who is also the chair of Powys County Council, shared an email to say that bin collectors had suffered a breakdown on Monday.
It was specifically affecting black general waste wheelie bins for Hay-on-Wye, the email said.

Collectors said they will try to catch up with the collections "over the next few days".
Locals who have not had their bins emptied today (Monday) should leave them out and they will be empited "as and when" teams are able to over the week.
"Please accept my apologies for this, we are working with the vehicle maintenance staff to get this lorry repaired and back on the road as quickly as possible," the email to Liberal Democrats councillor Gareth Ratcliffe said.
