Our latest School of the Month is St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and Nursery.
It is located in the Market Town of Ross on Wye.
While located on the edge of town, it is spoilt by rural surroundings and purpose-built outdoor areas.
The school says its a thriving and happy Catholic school, providing a broad and balanced curriculum.
"We take an holistic approach to education; focusing on developing the whole child with Christ at the centre of all we do," it said.
In April 2022, the school was awarded a national Accreditation at Gold standard, for its commitment to SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural) provision.
St Joseph's strives to ensure all pupils are provided with the best possible learning experiences to enhance their overall development, whilst challenging their enquiring minds.
As part of its curriculum, the school said it provides endless ‘wow’ moments for our children that make memories for life.
During International Neighbours week at the school, children experienced different cultures through Bhangra dance, African drumming, Hungarian baking and the sharing of home countries from staff and parents.

To inspire its children, St Joseph's was visited by commonwealth gold medallist Leon Baptiste from Sports for Champions.
A school spokesperson said that this memorable event empowered the school community to never give up and to follow their dreams.
The school said it prides itself on home school partnerships being a strength of St. Joseph’s and working together with parents and members of the local community, equipping its children with greater opportunities they need to succeed and flourish.
It says that from the start of children's learning journeys it ensures a smooth transition from early years into reception.
The children become familiar with daily routines, staff, children and the environment in which they learn.
At the end of year 6, children have developed the confidence to be independent learners who know how to make informed decisions and are fully prepared and equipped for the next stage of their journey.
Catholic education is at the 'core of the curriculum' and the foundation of the whole educational process.
A spokesperson for the school said: "At St Joseph’s our goal is for every child to enjoy and achieve, whilst they grow and work in the love of Christ as we live out our mission statement:
‘Treat others as you would like to be treated’
