This winter could prove to be the scariest yet for the disabled community of the county, says a Herefordshire campaigner.
Cameron Wood, 26, from Hereford, has warned that already isolated people could be cut off or even put in danger by any lack of electricity over the winter.
This comes after the National Grid warned that British households could lose power for up to three hours at a time this winter if gas supplies run extremely low.
The company said it was an "unlikely" scenario but added that supply interruptions were a possibility if the energy crisis escalated.

Mr Wood said that the entire disabled community rely on energy and power to either stay warm or power essential medical equipment.
He said that he would be unable to live an independent life if the plan goes ahead because he relies on his electric wheelchair to get around.
Mr Wood said: "I can't believe I am having to say this, but this is going to be a real issue facing the disabled this winter."
He is calling for the Government to do more to help people with the cost of power this winter.

Mr Wood said: "I hope that the Government listen to the pleas of the disabled community because the measures they are putting in place ahead of this winter simply do not go far enough.
"I know that I speak for many in the disabled community and their families as we head into a very uncertain time not knowing how we can afford to heat our homes or charge our aides in order to stay alive."
