POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder in Hereford.
West Mercia Police said the 50-year-old had been arrested after an incident in Baysham Street, near Whitecross Road.

It happened at around 3.30pm yesterday (Saturday, October 8) and a heavy police presence was reported in the area.
The Hereford Times understands police have remainded on scene and officers carried out door-to-door enquiries into Saturday evening.

The man remains in police custody, a spokesperson said.
They said it was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community.
