OTHER NEWS:

The event was the brainchild of Any Cumber who runs Q's Comic Store in the Butter Market.

He opened the shop in 2019 after spending most of his life travelling the globe in the military.

After 25 years away from home, Mr Cumber decided he wanted a change and to put down some roots.

He decided on opening his own comic bookstore to satisfy an urge he'd had since childhood.

Mr Cumber said: "The idea behind the Comic Con was to celebrate the comic book world and to see the level of talent that’s in our city and what Hereford has to offer in amongst the culture that we all love.

"It was exactly what I wanted it to be and ended up exceeding expectations.

"HR4K and I have already started the ball rolling for next year's event.

"It was an amazing day."
