A MAN has been sent to the crown court accused of causing grievous bodily harm after a woman was stabbed in a Herefordshire town.
Lee Ellis appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster charged with offences of causing criminal damage, wounding with intent, possessing a blade in a public place, and assault by beating in October.
The court heard the 54-year-old is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding a woman with intent to do her grievous bodily harm in Bromyard and possessing a knife without good reason or lawful authority in the town's Dry Thistle Close on October 15.

He is also accused of causing damage to the front door of a property in Bromyard, intending to destroy or damage it or being reckless as to whether it would be destroyed or damaged, and assaulting a man by beating in Bromyard, also on October 15.
The case was sent to the crown court and Ellis, who is of Ballhurst, Bromyard, was remanded in custody and will appear before Worcester Crown Court next for a plea and trial preparation hearing on November 14.
