A LONG-STANDING pet shop owner in a Hereford market has been named the best in the county.
Broughtons Pet Store in Hereford Butter Market won the retailer of the year award at the Herefordshire Business Awards.
This shop is full of everything you could need for your pet, and is one of the longest-established stalls in the market.

Claire Bishop took it on from her mother, who had been there for 25 years.
Their family ethics and passion for helping people with their animals is what keeps Ms Bishop going, with her daughter Electra and dogs by her side.
"We are a family business with a passion for providing only the best for your pets," she said.
"I love what I do."

The community in Hereford has continually helped over the years, and means she has long-term customers she has come to know.
"I am absolutely overwhelmed to have had the pleasure of attending an amazing evening," said Ms Bishop of the awards.
"Thank you so much to all my customers, for their love and support.
"Myself and my team love what we do.
"We will always be there to help out customers in any way we can.
"I am overjoyed to have won this award, it absoloutely means the world to me."
Ms Bishop is also proud to run her small business alongside others in the Butter Market.
"I absolutely love calling it our home," she said.
She is also well supported by her customers and this award proves how well the business is doing, she said.
