A HEREFORDSHIRE primary school is going to build a new classroom with climbing facilities for its pupils.
Much Birch CE E Primary School, near Ross-on-Wye, applied to Herefordshire Council for approval of the construction in July.

The planning permission has since been granted, and will also include separate play screens.
The school, with 186 pupils, is now set to the build the new outdoor classroom to the north of the main school building, just off the A49.

Recommending approval, case agent Matt Hobby said Herefordshire Council had acted positively and proactively in determining the application, saying planning policy and the views of locals were all taken into account.

He added it was decided to grant planning permission as the development was sustainable, as set out within the National Planning Policy Framework.
The application was then passed with conditions.
