AFTER a new CCTV camera popped up in a Hereford park more are promised for different areas of the city.

A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said it installed a temporary camera in Bishops at the request of West Mercia Police.

This was to help with the police investigation of the series of sexual assaults over summer, said the spokesperson.

"These cameras are being hired at Herefordshire Council's expense and following the commencement of the Safer Streets three project, the decision has been made to remove them," said the spokesperson.
