A HEREFORDSHIRE man has been spotted walking recently dragging a pair of tyres through a village.

Dominic Renshaw, who is originally from Oxford, but now lives in Wigmore, near Leominster, is in training for a special mission.

In November 2024, he will be attempting to break a world record by becoming the quickest person to ski to the magnetic South Pole.

In preperation for this he has been pulling tyres behind his back through the north Herefordshire village to attempt to replicate the pulling of a sledge.

Prior to his expedition to the pole, Mr Renshaw will be attempting a tyre pull walk all the way from the top of Scotland at John O'Groats, to the tip of Cornwall at Land's End.

This will be taking place in April and May next year.

Mr Renshaw has a history of taking on daredevil challenges and scaled the summit of Everest in 2017.

He said: "I have always had a fascination with things that are a little different, finding challenges to push me to my limits."

OTHER NEWS:

Mr Renshaw has set up a Youtube channel to chart his progress ahead of the hopefully record breaking trek.

He said he will be updating it two or three times a week with all the ups and downs as he trains for his epic adventure.

Mr Renshaw said: "The idea behind the adventure and setting up the channel is to show people that no matter how big or small your dream is, you can achieve it if you keep trying."
