HAVING just read the news about homeless problems, it is sad to think we are all missing those people in need of hope and help for a multitude of reasons.
l have often thought each city centre should invest in one shelter where help, care and support is available to needy people. It’s a basic starting point.
Nobody should be excluded and it could be a place of refuge and information. City centres across UK surely should be coping with early intervention? Prevention is the answer.
OTHER LETTERS:
- Drivers 'take life into own hands' at Herefordshire accident blackspot
- Reducing cars in Hereford 'unnecessary' and will hurt the least mobile
- Hereford doesn't need cycle lanes as bikes just use pavements
I hope one day there will be a place like I imagine for all to benefit and so grow through whatever their problems may be, especially the young people.
There are plenty of vacant properties and empty churches.
