A plan for six new semi-detached homes on the edge of Hereford has been given the go-ahead.
The application by Mr & Mrs J Norris involves demolishing the existing Wytz End, a large U-shaped mid-20th-century bungalow on Church Way, off the A49 near the roundabout with Roman Road.
The six new homes, all of two bedrooms, will have two parking spaces and will be sold at market rate.
“Many larger developments are unable to provide for the smaller end of the market whereby the need for one- and two-bed dwellings is often neglected,” the planning application says.

Two dormer bungalows in the grounds of Wytz End have already been approved.
The site lies within the development boundary of Holmer & Shelwick parish. The parish council gave the scheme its blessing, but wanted to see Church Way widened first, as per a previous development condition.
The proposal “would make efficient use of previously developed land in a sustainable location to the northern extent of Hereford”, planning officer Ollie Jones judged.
It would not harm the setting of the neighbouring Copelands, a 17th-century grade II listed house to the north, in the grounds of which a further two houses have been approved, he added.
Approval is conditional on the installation of secure cycle parking, and of six bird and bat boxes.
