DOCTORS' surgeries across Herefordshire have said they are facing extreme demand and are at full capacity for appointments.
Hereford Medical Group, which is behind Station Medical Centre, said it was facing "extremely high levels of demand" and pleaded to patients to be kind to staff.

In a short statement, the group, which also runs Bobblestock Surgery, Quay House Medical Centre and Credenhill Surgery said patients need to bear with staff.
"Due to the present national health issues that are being felt across the country, the practice is operating under extreme pressure, so we would like to ask that patients please bear with us when trying to make appointments," it said.

"It is imperative that we maintain a safe environment for our patients.
"We thank you all for your understanding, and we ask that all patients remain courteous to staff when in contact with the surgery as they are working under enormous amounts of pressure to meet demand."

In August, Matthew Taylor, chief executive of the NHS Confederation, said that the health service is in a “terrible situation” where it is facing “more demand than we can deal with”.
