HAVING looked for a Christmas card showing the Nativity scene in the whole of Hereford and finding only one packet, I ask why the Hereford retailers have suppressed our Christian celebration?
After all, the word Christmas comes from Jesus Christ, Christ meaning Messiah or Redeemer.
We always celebrated his birth on December 25, that is what Christmas was always about.
OTHER LETTERS:
- Herefordshire Council won't pay for damage to my car
- Gyms and pools could be struggling, but here's my easy solution
- Hereford is getting worse and it's really alarming
Instead, they are promoting a man in a red suit flying through the sky!
It never used to be like this.
Other faiths have their celebrations, why has ours been taken away?
