A HEREFORD man will be sentenced later this month after damaging an electronic pen and assaulting a police officer.
Daniel Crum entered guilty pleas to one count of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 and one of assaulting an emergency worker by beating when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
The court heard from Crown Prosecution Service prosecutor Eleanor Peart that the 31-year-old had, intentionally or recklessly damaged an electronic signature pen worth £271.42 and belonging to West Mercia Police in Hereford on October 8.

He had also assaulted a police sergeant who was acting in the course of his duties by beating in Hereford on October 8, magistrates were told.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentencing report to be carried out by the probation service.
Crum, who is of Mayberry Avenue, Hereford, will appear before magistrates at Hereford's Bath Street Justice Centre for sentencing on December 20.
