"MINDLESS people" have been criticised for dumping rubbish, including traffic cones, bricks and a shopping trolley, in a Hereford pond.
The picturesque duck pond in Hereford's Mill Street, behind Castle Green, has long been a popular spot in the city centre.
But it has been blighted by people ruining the setting, with traffic cones, an Asda shopping trolley and red bricks seen i in the water

Sharing pictures of the rubbish strewn around the outskirts of the pond, as well as in it, Hereford Times Camera Club member Trevor King called the culprits mindless.

He said: "This is the state of the duck pond in Mill Street after mindless people have dumped loads of rubbish in it."
It appears the items had been dumped on the lake when it had frozen last week.

Pictures taken by Roger Corder showed the "sorry state" of the pond.
After spearheading a clean-up campaign in 2017 alongside Colin James and Keith Marston, Coun Jim Kenyon said: "People can remember, like me, learning to stand up and walk, holding onto the railings there. It's an iconic part of Hereford."
