AN ACCUSED man has been sent to the crown court over allegations that he attacked a man and attempted to set fire to a house in Hereford.

Callum Bullock appeared before magistrates in Hereford in December accused of one count of Section 18 wounding with intent, and one count of attempted arson with intent to endanger life.

The court heard from prosecutor Mark Hambling that the 25-year-old is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding another man in Hereford with intent to do him grievous bodily harm in Hereford on October 21, 2021.

He is also accused of attempting to commit arson, by attempting to destroy a house in Hereford's Green Street by fire, intending to destroy or damage property and intending to endanger life or being reckless as to whether life would be endangered, on October 21, 2021.

The case was sent to the crown court and Bullock, who is of Diana Close, Basingstoke, was released on unconditional bail.

He will appear before Worcester Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on January 11.
